Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Etegent Technologies, Ltd. (“Etegent,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit etegent.com (the “Site”), submit an inquiry, subscribe to communications, apply for a position, or otherwise interact with us.

Etegent develops AI and software solutions for defense and government missions. This Policy applies to information we collect through this Site and related business communications. It does not apply to data processed under contracts with the U.S. Government or our prime contractors, which is governed by the applicable contract, security requirements, and federal law.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, this Policy explains your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, and the UK Data Protection Act 2018, in addition to your rights under U.S. law.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: information you provide directly, information collected automatically when you use the Site, and information received from third parties.

Information You Provide

Correspondence. Any information you send to us by email, phone, postal mail, or other means.

Contact and inquiry information. When you submit an inquiry through our contact form or email us, we collect your name, business email address, phone number, company or organization, role, and the contents of your message.

Newsletter and marketing subscriptions. If you sign up for updates, we collect your name, email address, and any optional information you provide.

Career applications. If you apply for a position, we collect your name, contact details, resume or CV, work history, education, and any additional information you choose to share. Some positions require U.S. citizenship or the ability to obtain a security clearance; if so, we may collect related eligibility information as required by law and our customers.

Event and meeting information. If you register for an event, request a briefing, or schedule a meeting with us, we collect the information needed to coordinate that interaction.

Correspondence. Any information you send to us by email, phone, postal mail, or other means.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may collect certain technical information through cookies and similar technologies, including:

  • IP address and approximate location derived from it
  • Device type, operating system, browser type and version, and language settings
  • Pages viewed, links clicked, referring and exit pages, and time spent on the Site
  • Date and time of visit and other diagnostic data

Where required by law, we collect this information only with your prior consent.

Information from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from publicly available sources, professional networks (such as LinkedIn), business partners, recruiting platforms, event organizers, and government databases (for example, in connection with a security clearance verification or background check that you have authorized).

Special Categories of Data

We do not seek to collect special categories of personal data (such as data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, health data, or biometric data). Where such data is required for a job application or hiring process and permitted by law, we will only process it with your explicit consent or as otherwise allowed by Article 9 GDPR / UK GDPR.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal data. We share personal data only as described below:

  • Service providers (processors). We share information with vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as website hosting, email and CRM platforms, marketing automation, analytics, applicant tracking, IT and security services, and professional advisors. These providers act as our processors and are bound by written agreements requiring them to safeguard the data and use it only on our instructions.
  • Government customers and prime contractors. Where relevant to a current or prospective business relationship (for example, a teaming arrangement or contract pursuit), we may share business contact information with U.S. Government customers, prime contractors, and teaming partners.
  • Legal and security purposes. We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required to comply with law, a subpoena, or other legal process; to protect the rights, property, or safety of Etegent, our personnel, customers, or others; or to investigate or prevent suspected fraud, security incidents, or violations of our policies.
  • Corporate transactions. If Etegent is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
  • With your direction or consent. We share information when you ask us to or otherwise consent to the sharing.

5. International Data Transfers

Etegent is based in the United States, and the personal data we collect is stored and processed in the United States. Some of our service providers may also process data in other countries.

If you are located in the EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, your personal data will be transferred outside your jurisdiction. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards to protect these transfers, including:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or the UK Addendum, as applicable;
  • EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, UK Extension, and Swiss–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, where the receiving organization is certified;
  • Other lawful transfer mechanisms permitted under applicable law, including derogations for specific situations under Article 49 GDPR / UK GDPR.

You may request a copy of the relevant safeguards by contacting us at [email protected].

Some of our solutions and information are subject to U.S. export control laws, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which may restrict the disclosure of certain information to non-U.S. persons regardless of these transfer safeguards.

6. Data Security

Etegent maintains administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. As a defense contractor, we operate under security frameworks consistent with our regulatory and contractual obligations, including, where applicable, NIST SP 800-171 and DFARS cybersecurity requirements.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is fully secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a personal data breach affecting your rights and freedoms, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority and, where required, affected individuals in accordance with applicable law.
